Dayang Janet began martial arts as a young mother to get in shape. She fell in love with karate and after she earned her 3rd dan she opened her own dojo (2004). After witnessing Grand-Master Gabriele Roloff and Master Astrid Zimdahl perform at a National Women’s Martial Arts Federation demonstration, she was in awe. Four years later she became a student of Modern Arnis and in 2018 achieved her black belt. Janet was promoted to Shihan and 6th dan in karate in 2019.She currently teaches both arts and coaches competitive karate at her own dojo, 6Tigers Academy in Manotick, Ontario.
